Dooars or Duars (in Bengali & Nepali) are the floodplains and foothills of the eastern Himalayas in Northeast India around Bhutan. "Duar" means door in Nepali and Bengali languages respectively, and the region forms the gateway to Bhutan from India. Dooars tourism offers multiple options to visitors like trekking, adventure sports and nature trails.The Dooars valley also forms a gateway to the hill stations of North Bengal, Sikkim, Bhutan, Assam and the Far East. The valley stretches across a vast span of 130 kms. By 40 kms. The unending stretch of virgin forests interwoven with innumerable tea gardens is crisscrossed by the rivers Teesta, Jaldhaka, Torsha, Sankosh, Raidak, Newra, Jayanti, Dodoya, Murti, Mujnai, Chel, Banai, Hollong etc. and their innumerable tributaries trotting and rolling down from the hills.
Gorumara wildlife sanctuary, which is a few minutes away from Orchid resort has recorded fifty species of mammals, 194 species of birds, 22 species of reptiles, 7 species of turtles, 27 species of fish. Leopard, Indian rhinoceros, gaur, Asian elephant, sloth bear, sambar deer, wild boar, scarlet minivet, sunbird, woodpeckers are among the inhabitants of the wildlife sanctuary.The park is also home to a large number of snakes venomous and non-venomous including the Indian python one of the largest snakes in the world and the king cobra - the world's largest venomous snake.

CANCELLATION POLICY
During peak season (Mid September to March) cancellation of rooms within one month of the date of booking shall be subject to no refund of the advance payment.
During the rest of the year, excluding the peak season cancellation of rooms within one month of the date of booking shall be subject to 20% deduction of the advance payment for such booking.
